Lesson 10 15.11.18

Groups

·      Group 1 - Only wall windows. Different variations: on one of the two façade, on both, different windows layouts (number, size, position, shading)

·      Group 2 - Only skylights. Different variations: on one orientation, on both, different skylights layouts  (number, size, position, shading)

·      Group 3 – 4 – 5 – Combinations of wall windows and skylights. Wall windows different variations: on one of the two façade, on both, different windows layouts (number, size, position, shading). Skylights different variations: on one orientation, on both, different skylights layouts (number, size, position, shading).

Task 1: design 10 different variations to find optimal values of Spatial Daylight Autonomy and Annual Sunlight Exposure possibly to fulfill the LEED4 Daylight requirements:

- Minimum 55% sDA (floor area above the Illuminance threshold for more than 50% of the time)

- Maximum 10% ASE (floor area with illuminance above 1000 lux for maximum 250 hours/year)

Threshold: 300 Lux

Occupancy schedule: weekdays 9-17

Task 2: use the already designed 10 different variations to find the one with the least electric light energy annual consumption.
